Getting started

Create a new project

Set up a project, add contract documents, and confirm that every file is ready for analysis.

Step-by-step

Follow these steps

  1. Create the project

From the Projects page, select Add Project.

Enter the project name and requested details, including the structure type. Complete any fields your organization uses for reporting, then save the project.

  2. Open Contract Documents

Inside the project, select + Documents and choose Contract Documents.

Contract documents are the source for scope analysis, checklists, change tools, and package reviews.

  3. Upload the drawings

Upload a PDF containing plan sheets only. Keep each upload under 150 MB; split a larger set into multiple files.

Enter a recognizable version such as Issued for Bid, Addendum 1, or Revision 2 and choose the document date.

If the project uses buildings, wings, phases, or another area structure, assign a Project Area so later results remain easy to filter.

  4. Confirm the drawing sheet list

Choose the sheet types and sheet numbers to include, then select Submit.

Upload a complete set whenever possible. A project can contain up to 1,300 sheets; large sets may take longer to process.

  5. Upload specifications

Select + Documents again, choose Specifications, and upload the specification PDF.

Enter the version and document date, then continue.

  6. Confirm specification sections

Review the extracted specification numbers and titles.

Correct any missing or mislabeled section before submitting the file.

  7. Add supplemental bid documents

Upload schedules, logistics plans, alternates, bid instructions, and other files that bidders must acknowledge.

ScrubPlan can use these supporting documents when it creates package checklists.

  8. Wait for ingestion to finish

Check the document status. In Progress means ScrubPlan is still extracting the file; Completed means the document is ready for analysis.

Do not start a scope workflow until every required source document shows Completed.
